Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Legal Advisor to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various legal matters, including corporate law, compliance issues, and contracts. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice to our clients, ensuring compliance with local laws, and representing clients in legal proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on legal rights and obligations.
• Prepare legal documents and filings.
• Negotiate settlements and manage disputes effectively.
• Conduct training sessions on legal compliance.
• Analyze new regulations and their impact on clients' operations.
• Participate in client meetings to offer legal guidance.
• Work with external legal counsel as needed.
• Engage in community outreach and compliance education.
• Assist in policy formulation and implementation.
• Review corporate governance practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Master's degree in Law (LLM) is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in corporate law or as a legal advisor
