Job Description

As a Ferry Boat Captain, you will be responsible for navigating our vessels safely across the waters of Cape Town. This role demands an experienced leader who can oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the ferry while adhering to schedule and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with crew and passengers regarding safety procedures.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust routes as necessary.
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the ferry before embarkation.
• Train new deckhands and crew members on safety practices.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid if required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in maritime operations

Certifications

• Maritime Safety Certification
• Advanced First Aid Certification

Languages
