Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Durban. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to patients, advocate for their health, and assist in treatment plans. This role requires a patient-focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments.
  • Provide wound care and preventative care to patients.
  • Keep abreast of best practices in nursing to enhance care delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams for patient-centered care.
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff during their clinical practice.
  • Ensure patient safety through diligent monitoring and interventions.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as chart updates and scheduling.
  • Support the implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and workshops to improve skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical or hospital environment
