Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Food Scientist to join our innovative team in Port Elizabeth. You will be responsible for advancing food technologies and ensuring product safety. Your expertise will contribute to the development of new food products, optimizing processes, and conducting research to improve overall quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects involving product development from concept to commercialization.
  • Mentor junior staff in research methodologies and best practices.
  • Investigate and implement new technologies relevant to food science.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.
  • Present findings to stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualification is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in R&D or food product testing
