Public Health Officer

Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you will play a critical role in promoting community health and wellbeing. You will be responsible for implementing health initiatives, conducting assessments, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance public health standards.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze public health issues affecting the community.
• Develop outreach strategies to engage hard-to-reach populations.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts.
• Foster partnerships with local organizations for health advocacy.
• Evaluate health programs by collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Assist in grant writing and funding applications for health initiatives.
• Train and supervise interns and volunteers in public health practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or a related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a public health setting
