Job Description

As an Urban Planner in Cape Town, you will play a vital role in shaping the city's future by developing plans and programs for land use in urban areas. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community representatives, and developers, to create sustainable urban environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of land-use trends and urban development patterns.
  • Work collaboratively with local government officials to implement strategic urban plans.
  • Develop public policies and programs to enhance community engagement in urban planning.
  • Collect and interpret socio-economic data to inform planning decisions.
  • Facilitate community outreach and education regarding urban planning initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning or Public Policy is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in urban planning or community development
