We are seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our esteemed clinic in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in animal welfare, capable of diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions as well as performing surgeries. Your role will involve collaborating with a team of professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement treatment plans for various cases.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ health.
• Manage and mentor junior veterinary staff and interns.
• Conduct post-operative care and follow-up visits.
• Record and analyse clinical data to assess treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with specialists for advanced care needs.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Master's degree in Veterinary Science is beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years in clinical practice is preferred

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic proficiency

Certifications

• Specialization in a veterinary field (e.g., surgery, dermatology)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Advanced ultrasound skills: Experience in performing and interpreting ultrasound diagnostics.
• Experience in exotic animal care: Knowledge and experience working with a range of exotic pets in addition to domestic animals.
