Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will provide comprehensive healthcare to patients of all ages, performing examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans. A strong emphasis will be placed on preventive care and maintaining patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a timely manner.
• Engage in community outreach programs for health education.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records.
• Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare system.
• Participate in team meetings to enhance care coordination.
• Remain informed on current healthcare policies and reforms.
• Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Implement health screenings and preventative measures.
• Utilize technology effectively to improve patient care.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent
• Specialization in General Practice is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred

• Patient Care

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certification in Family Medicine

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous
