Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Social Worker to join our Port Elizabeth team. In this role, you will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, conducting assessments and facilitating access to necessary services while promoting social justice and community empowerment.

Responsibilities

  • Create resource guides to help clients navigate social services available in the community.
  • Offer crisis intervention support as needed for clients in urgent situations.
  • Cultivate an understanding of cultural differences and promote inclusion in service delivery.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of intervention strategies through client feedback and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations governing social work.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Master's degree in a related field is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in community-based social work
