Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals and families in need, providing support, counseling, and resources to improve their well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and strengths of clients.
  • Counsel clients in individual and group settings to explore pathways to well-being.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to create integrated service plans.
  • Document case notes and maintain comprehensive records of services provided.
  • Engage in community education initiatives to promote social welfare.
  • Advocate for policies that support vulnerable populations.
  • Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Facilitate access to essential services including housing, employment, and mental health resources.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance skills.
  • Work within the ethical and legal framework governing social work.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in social work
