Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning and executing various types of events, from intimate gatherings to large corporate functions. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and turn their visions into memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Create and manage detailed project plans for each event.
• Oversee the event budget and monitor expenses.
• Facilitate communication with vendors, clients, and team members.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on event outcomes.
• Promote the company's events through social media and marketing channels.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success.
• Mentor junior event planners and interns.
• Implement new technologies to streamline planning processes.
• Foster a positive team environment and encourage collaboration.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Event Management or Hospitality Management
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of event planning experience, including corporate events and weddings.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of local venues and vendors: Established relationships with local suppliers and venues in Durban.
• Fluency in additional languages: Ability to communicate in Zulu or Xhosa is a plus.
