Responsibilities

• Plan and implement mine development projects.
• Evaluate mineral resources and reserves for extraction viability.
• Design ore extraction processes to maximize recovery and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare budgets and track expenses for mining projects.
• Continuously assess and improve mining methods for efficiency and productivity.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and mining staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree or professional licensing is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mining engineering or related field

Technical Skills

• Mining Software (e.g. Deswik, Surpac)
• Geological Analysis
• Environmental Regulations

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Project Management

Certifications

• Mine Health and Safety Certification
• Professional Engineer Registration (PrEng) is advantageous

Languages
