Job Description

The Machine Feeder and Offbearer is responsible for supporting the Stone Driller in executing drilling operations in various types of stone. This role involves basic maintenance on drilling equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Stone Driller in drilling operations and assist with material handling.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on drilling machines.
• Prepare equipment for drilling tasks, ensuring it is in safe working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Assist in transporting stone blocks and equipment to and from the site.
• Keep track of inventory and supplies needed for drilling operations.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Report problems or malfunctions of machinery to the supervisor.
• Contribute to maintaining high production standards.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate

Experience

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Physical strength and stamina

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
