We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be involved in designing mechanical systems, analysing prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyse, and optimise mechanical systems.
• Work with project managers to define project scopes and timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Create prototype specifications and testing protocols.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with procurement to source materials and parts.
• Implement lean engineering principles to improve efficiency.
• Document all design changes and maintain version control.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts during production outages.
• Engage with clients to understand their engineering needs.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
