Job Description

In this role, you will lead our fleet management initiatives, manage vendor relationships, and implement best practices to ensure our fleet operates at optimal levels. Your focus will be on enhancing safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fleet management strategies.
• Conduct regular audits of vehicle records and maintenance logs.
• Track fuel consumption and devise strategies for reduction.
• Evaluate and recommend new vehicles for acquisition.
• Lead initiatives for safety and environmental compliance.
• Manage incidents and report on safety performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation Management or related field
• Master's degree is an added advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in fleet management or logistics

Technical Skills

• Fleet Management Software
• Budgeting & Financial Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Fleet Manager (CFM)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with GPS Fleet Tracking Systems: Familiarity with GPS tracking technology to enhance fleet efficiency.
• Knowledge of Transport Legislation: Understanding local and national transport laws and regulations.
