Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice, support compliance efforts, and assist in managing contracts and legal documents for various projects. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure our operations align with legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review and update company policies to ensure compliance with changing laws.
• Advise senior management on legal matters impacting the business.
• Conduct training sessions on legal compliance for employees.
• Prepare and manage responses to legal inquiries.
• Facilitate communication between legal departments and external stakeholders.
• Analyze contracts for potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Additional legal qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years as Corporate Counsel or similar role

Technical Skills

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Specialist Certification in Corporate Law
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
