Continuous Mining Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Continuous Mining Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to efficiently dig and move materials at construction sites. You will work closely with a skilled team to ensure that projects are completed on schedule while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of excavators and other heavy machinery.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize site operations.
• Dig trenches and prepare sites according to plans and specifications.
• Load materials into trucks and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Follow environmental regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and safety knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators.

Technical Skills

• Excavator Operation
• Blueprint Interpretation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with other heavy machinery: Ability to operate additional equipment such as bulldozers or graders.
• Welding Certification: Additional certification in welding or fabrication is a plus.
