Job Description

We are seeking an organized and creative Event Planner to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, and client relations. You'll be responsible for creating memorable events that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement event plans based on client requirements.
• Manage event timelines and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.
• Cultivate relationships with local vendors and venues.
• Prepare progress reports and updates for clients.
• Coordinate with marketing teams to promote events.
• Handle event-related paperwork, including contracts and invoices.
• Assist in crisis management during events for troubleshooting.
• Train and supervise junior staff and interns during events.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Event planning qualifications are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years in event management or coordination

• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

• Afrikaans: Conversational
