Inventory Supervisor

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Inventory Supervisor to lead our inventory management team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory control and ensuring stock accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stocktake processes and ensure accurate reporting.
• Implement inventory management software and train the team on its use.
• Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to forecast inventory needs.
• Identify slow-moving stock and propose action plans to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the storage area.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Certifications in inventory management are an asset

Experience

• 3+ years in a supervisory role within inventory management

• Microsoft Excel
• ERP Systems

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Inventory Optimization Specialist

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency with barcode/RFID systems: Experience in using barcode and RFID technology for tracking inventory.
• Experience in training staff: Ability to conduct training sessions for new team members.
