Job Description

We are seeking a creative Event Planner to join our Knysna team. This role involves planning and executing a diverse range of events, liaising with vendors, and managing budgets to deliver extraordinary experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of events, from initial inquiry to post-event debrief.
  • Prepare detailed project plans and timelines for each event.
  • Conduct site visits to venues and inspect them for suitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials for events.
  • Supervise staff and volunteers during events to ensure top-quality service.
  • Maintain records of all event details, including contracts and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations related to events.
  • Evaluate event success and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Assist with the recruitment and training of new event staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Event Management or Hospitality
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in event coordination or planning

Languages
  • English: Fluent
