We are seeking a creative Event Planner to join our Knysna team. This role involves planning and executing a diverse range of events, liaising with vendors, and managing budgets to deliver extraordinary experiences.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of events, from initial inquiry to post-event debrief.
Prepare detailed project plans and timelines for each event.
Conduct site visits to venues and inspect them for suitability.
Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials for events.
Supervise staff and volunteers during events to ensure top-quality service.
Maintain records of all event details, including contracts and invoices.
Ensure compliance with all local regulations related to events.
Evaluate event success and provide feedback for improvement.
Assist with the recruitment and training of new event staff.
Stay updated on industry trends to bring fresh ideas to the team.
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Event Management or Hospitality
Experience
1-2 years of experience in event coordination or planning
