Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to take charge of our projects in Cape Town. You will play a pivotal role in project planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating with other professionals to ensure efficiency. The successful applicant will have a strong grasp of project management methodologies and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive project plans that outline key objectives, phases, and strategies.
• Facilitate paperwork related to contracting and insurances.
• Mentor and guide junior staff members on project management practices.
• Coordinate between different tradespeople and ensure effective integration of sub-contractors.
• Update project schedules and make necessary adjustments to keep it on track.
• Manage conflicts and ensure that communication is constructive among team members.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ensure adherence to zoning laws.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess success and areas for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in Project Management is preferable

Experience

• 7 years of experience in successfully managing construction projects
