Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Manager to supervise and coordinate masonry projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of masonry practices, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations on-site and ensure projects adhere to schedules.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
• Implement best practices in construction management to improve efficiency.
• Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and organized.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project progress and challenges to senior management.
• Conduct performance evaluations of site staff.
• Stay updated with industry trends and practices to ensure competitiveness.
• Mentor junior project managers and staff in construction practices.

Requirements

Education

• Masters in Construction Management or Project Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in construction project management with a focus on masonry

Technical Skills

• Cost Control Techniques
• Safety Management

Soft Skills

• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software: Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
