Job Description

Join our dynamic Urban Planning team as an Urban Planner in Durban. You will be responsible for creating urban development plans that enhance community living while ensuring sustainability and compliance with zoning regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare detailed urban development plans and zoning regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on urban design and infrastructure projects.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed developments on local communities and environments.
  • Draft amendments to local planning regulations and ordinances.
  • Communicate effectively with the public, stakeholders, and governmental agencies to ensure transparency in the planning process.
  • Stay current with trends and developments in urban planning and sustainability.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in urban planning, with a focus on community development
