Job Description

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to oversee and manage our legal affairs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate law and compliance matters, ensuring that the company's operations and transactions comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate structure and governance matters.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients and suppliers.
• Review and amend company policies to ensure legal soundness.
• Provide insights on risk management strategies.
• Analyze legal aspects of business transactions.
• Assist in resolving disputes, including through negotiation and mediation.
• Draft responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the business’s legal needs.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in legal advisory roles

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans.
