Job Description

Join our team as a Payroll Specialist, where you will oversee payroll processing and administration. Your role will involve maintaining payroll systems, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and legislative requirements, and collaborating with management to enhance payroll efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Execute payroll processing for monthly and bi-weekly wages.
  • Verify timekeeping records and approve payroll adjustments.
  • Train HR staff on payroll systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage year-end processing for employee tax forms.
  • Collaborate with external payroll vendors as needed.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding payroll tasks.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Regularly update payroll systems for new policies and laws.
  • Help improve payroll processes for optimal efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional payroll certification is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
Technical Skills
  • Payroll Software (e.g., Sage, PaySpace)
  • Microsoft Excel

Certifications
