We are seeking an enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Local Coffee Co. in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and an eagerness to provide excellent customer service. Join us in creating a fantastic café experience!

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Train and mentor less experienced baristas.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Prepare food items when required, such as pastries and light snacks.
• Participate in promotional events and activities.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Hospitality or related field

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Espresso Machine Operation
• Beverage Presentation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with latte art: Ability to create beautiful latte art with cappuccinos and lattes.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations: Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
