Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Diversity and Inclusion Specialist to join our team in Durban. This role involves developing and implementing effective strategies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our company culture. The ideal candidate will have experience in driving organizational change focused on inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic alliances with local and national diversity organizations.
• Provide analysis and reporting on workforce diversity metrics.
• Ensure compliance with employment equity legislation.
• Facilitate discussions around challenges and opportunities in building inclusivity.
• Promote a culture where differences are valued and embraced.
• Organize celebrations and events that recognize diversity and its value.
• Help establish accountability and best practices for D&I initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
• Master's degree is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in diversity and inclusion roles

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis
• Training Design

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional local languages: Knowledge of languages such as Xhosa or Sotho adds value.
• Experience with conflict resolution: Demonstrated capability in navigating and resolving conflicts.
