Learning and Development Specialist

Job Description

The Learning and Development Specialist will assess training needs and ensure that all employees receive effective professional growth opportunities. The ideal candidate has experience in instructional design and a strong understanding of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement training programs to drive employee engagement.
• Assess individual and organizational training needs.
• Utilize data to measure outcomes and improve programs.
• Work alongside managers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Enhance learning materials and user experience.
• Support e-learning and digital training initiatives.
• Develop mentoring and coaching programs.
• Prepare reports on learning outcomes and training efficiency.
• Collaborate with external training consultants when necessary.
• Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions with participants.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Human Resources
• Master’s degree or Professional Certification in Training is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in learning and development

Certifications

• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
• Certified Learning Specialist (CLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
