Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Supply Chain Manager to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. In this role, you'll oversee the supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in processes from procurement through to distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain methodologies and be able to implement strategies to optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Create forecasts to manage supply chain resources effectively.
• Enhance supplier relationships for better service delivery.
• Investigate and resolve supply chain issues promptly.
• Support sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on supply chain trends.
• Collaborate with IT to develop systems for better inventory management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics roles

Technical Skills

• Statistical Analysis
• ERP Software

• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of international shipping regulations: Familiarity with international shipping compliance and regulations.
• Experience in supplier negotiation: Proven track record in negotiating contracts with suppliers.
