Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Legal Counsel to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing legal risks effectively. This role requires a proactive approach and excellent negotiation skills to support our corporate governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to assist with business decisions.
• Review and interpret legal documents and agreements.
• Identify potential legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present legal briefs and reports.
• Facilitate the resolution of disputes through negotiations.
• Engage with regulators and legal bodies as required.

Requirements

Education

• LL.M or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B)

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in corporate legal environments
