Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Risk Specialist to join our Durban office. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and an ability to develop effective compliance programs. You will be responsible for identifying compliance risks and ensuring our practices meet legal and ethical standards. You will work closely with various departments to implement compliance protocols that support our company's integrity and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Implement compliance controls and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Review and enhance existing compliance policies and frameworks.
  • Facilitate compliance training and workshops for staff.
  • Coordinate with legal and risk management teams to align compliance efforts.
  • Provide support during compliance audits and reviews.
  • Analyze compliance data and recommend improvements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote compliance awareness.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is complete and readily accessible.
  • Evaluate compliance risks associated with new business initiatives.
  • Assist in developing corrective action plans for compliance deficiencies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, or another relevant field
  • Postgraduate qualification in Compliance or Risk Management is beneficial
Experience
  • 3-5 years in a compliance role, preferably in a corporate environment
