Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Legal Advisor to join our team in Cape Town. This role requires a deep understanding of legal principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide sound legal advice on various matters. The ideal candidate will assist in drafting contracts, advising on compliance issues, and supporting our clients with their legal needs.

Responsibilities

• Offer strategic legal guidance to senior management.
• Draft and review all company legal documents to minimize risks.
• Assist in employee training regarding legal compliance.
• Manage regulatory compliance and report on legal issues.
• Support the development of compliance programs to mitigate risks.
• Advise on data protection legislation and privacy matters.
• Negotiate contracts with external stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent degree in law
• Admitted as an attorney in South Africa is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a legal advisory role
