Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse based in Durban, who will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with medical staff to ensure optimal healthcare practices and treatment plans are followed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients and families.
• Conduct physical exams and make clinical judgments.
• Manage IV therapy and wound care procedures.
• Coordinate with other health professionals regarding patient needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the management and delivery of community health education.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the medical team.
• Provide advice on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy during care.
• Utilize electronic health record systems effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma/degree in Nursing
• Registered with SANC

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a nursing role

Technical Skills

• Clinical Skills
• Patient Assessment

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Pediatric Nursing Experience: Experience in pediatric nursing is an asset.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records: Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
