Job Description

Mental Health Care Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist. You will play a crucial role in patient care, delivering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions. An ability to build rapport with clients and an understanding of the local mental health landscape will be invaluable in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Supervise and mentor interns and junior psychologists.
  • Monitor and assess changes in patient behavior and treatment outcomes.
  • Design and facilitate support groups for patients.
  • Engage with family members of clients to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Document all patient interactions in adherence to ethical standards.
  • Interact with referring providers to discuss patient care and progress.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience

Advantageous
