Youth Worker

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a passionate Youth Worker to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing support, guidance, and mentorship to young individuals facing various challenges. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive environment where youth can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Engage with youth in one-on-one and group settings to facilitate communication.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and meet youth needs.
• Lead outreach efforts to engage at-risk youth and connect them with available services.
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding youth behavior and progress.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff and volunteers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Sociology or Community Development, preferred
• Relevant certifications in Child Development or Social Services are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years in a similar role, particularly with at-risk youth
