Job Description

We are in search of a creative and organized Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating events from inception to conclusion, including venue selection, vendor management, and client communication. The ideal candidate will have a knack for logistics and a strong eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of the event runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Research and recommend new event trends and innovations to enhance client satisfaction.
• Build and manage event timeline and checklists to ensure thorough preparation.
• Assist clients with selection of themes, décor, and styles suited to their preferences.
• Conduct final checks before the events to ensure everything is in place.
• Evaluate the success of events and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all events comply with local legislation and health and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Certificate in Event Management or Hospitality Management

Experience

• 2+ years experience coordinating events or assisting in event management

• Event Planning Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in multiple languages: Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is a plus.
