We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our talented team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical design and engineering principles, focusing on developing innovative solutions and optimising existing systems. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from concept to implementation, ensuring that the designs meet regulatory standards and are cost-effective.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design concepts and prototypes.
• Execute design changes and modifications based on testing and feedback.
• Participate in project meetings and progress reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns in engineering practices.
• Analyze data to drive product improvements over time.
• Submit project documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical systems design

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Mechanical Systems Design

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
