Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our expanding team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in structural design and a passion for project management. This role involves working on diverse construction projects, collaborating with architects and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design calculations for various projects.
• Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive design plans.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare detailed specifications and construction documents.
• Review and approve shop drawings and design changes.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to designs and quality standards.
• Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
• Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on structural matters.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) license is highly advantageous

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

• Reinforced Concrete and Steel Design

Certifications

• Certified Structural Engineer (CSE)
• Safety Management Systems Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Proficient
