Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing a variety of events tailored to our clients' needs. From corporate events to weddings, your creativity and organizational skills will help bring visions to life. You will liaise with vendors, manage budgets, and ensure that every detail is accounted for, resulting in seamless and memorable events.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement event concepts based on client vision.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Map out event schedules and timelines for efficient execution.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the planning process.
• Assess event venues for suitability and negotiate terms effectively.
• Oversee event setup, tear down, and post-event analyses.
• Research and stay updated on the latest event trends and technologies.
• Facilitate attendee registrations and manage guest lists.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Event Management or Hospitality

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Social Media Management
• Vendor Negotiation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in Corporate Events: Specific experience handling corporate events and client meetings.
• Fluent in Another Language: Fluency in either Afrikaans or Xhosa for better client interaction.
