Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Agricultural Scientist to join our research team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will work on innovative agricultural projects aimed at improving crop production and sustainability in the Eastern Cape region.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects aimed at optimizing crop production methods.
• Conduct statistical analysis of research data to draw meaningful conclusions.
• Engage with stakeholders to disseminate research and obtain feedback.
• Develop educational materials for farmers regarding sustainable practices.
• Mentor interns and junior scientists in research methodologies.
• Advocate for policies that support sustainable agriculture.
• Utilize innovative technologies such as precision agriculture to enhance efficiency.
• Compile and analyze data for project reports and presentations.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Agricultural Science or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in academic or applied research
