Job Description

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Pet Care Veterinary Services, you will provide surgical and medical care for a wide range of pets. You will work closely with the veterinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and contribute to the supportive environment of our practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care including examinations, surgeries, and vaccinations.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in pets.
• Educate pet owners on health care, nutrition, and preventive medicine.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor pet progress.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Manage anesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Assist in the training and supervision of junior veterinary staff.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Participate in continuous education to stay updated with veterinary advancements.
• Engage with clients in a compassionate manner to build long-term relationships.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary practice
