Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and efficient Call Out Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering emergency calls and dispatching appropriate personnel, ensuring a swift and effective response.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly answer and assess emergency calls to determine urgency.
  • Co-ordinate the dispatch of first responders, ensuring they have the necessary information.
  • Keep accurate logs of calls and actions taken for future reference.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of incidents and update response protocols as needed.
  • Maintain communication with all emergency services during incidents.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and emergency dispatch software for documentation.
  • Participate in community education about emergency procedures.
  • Provide updates to management on call volume and incident trends.
  • Coordinate equipment readiness with field units.
  • Contribute to team meetings to improve service delivery.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate
  • Call Centre Certificate
  • Emergency Services Training Certificate (advantageous)
Experience
  • Previous experience in a call centre or emergency services environment is preferred.
