Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our Pretoria clinic. You will handle a variety of cases, from routine check-ups to emergency procedures, while working to improve animal health and wellbeing in our community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine health examinations and assess animal conditions.
• Perform surgical procedures and administer anaesthesia.
• Develop and execute treatment plans for various medical conditions.
• Provide guidance and support to pet owners regarding health and care.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow up on treatment outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Assist in client education and community outreach programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice, with surgical experience preferred.
