Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to enhance the lives of our patients in Durban. You will be responsible for evaluating patient needs, planning and implementing therapeutic programs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Your role is pivotal in providing comprehensive care that addresses both physical and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients through interviews and observations.
  • Create and implement therapeutic treatment interventions.
  • Assist clients in activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Develop group therapy sessions as applicable.
  • Work with families to support patient recovery plans.
  • Keep up with documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist
