As a Legal Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to our clients. Your expertise in corporate law, compliance, and risk management will be essential in safeguarding client interests. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong ethical framework.

Responsibilities

• Research legal precedents and case law to inform strategy.
• Assist in drafting legislation and policy proposals.
• Monitor changes in legislation affecting clients.
• Provide risk assessments and recommend strategies.
• Coordinate with external counsel for specialized matters.
• Facilitate and drive legal projects to completion.
• Maintain accurate and organized legal records.
• Advise on matters of employment law and compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders to educate on legal processes.

Requirements

Education

• LLB or equivalent qualification in Law
• Master's degree in Law (LLM) is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in legal advisory and compliance

Certifications

• Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
• Admitted Attorney in South Africa
