Job Description

As a Social Work Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting vulnerable populations within Nelspruit. Your responsibilities will include case management, providing therapeutic support, and developing programs aimed at fostering community resilience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops and support groups for clients and community members.
• Collaborate with local agencies to enhance service delivery.
• Monitor and report on the progress of clients towards achieving their goals.
• Create awareness and education on social issues affecting the community.
• Participate in fundraising efforts to support social work initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in social services or community outreach

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker (RSW)
• Mental Health First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Basic

• Experience with children and youth services: Direct experience working with children and families in need.
• Familiarity with mental health resources: Awareness of mental health services and the ability to make referrals.
