Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Substitute Teacher/Paraprofessional to provide essential support to our teachers and students in their absence. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that learning continues effectively, and students receive the assistance they need during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead teacher in managing classroom activities and student behavior.
• Assist in the delivery of lessons and educational programs.
• Facilitate small group discussions and learning activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Engage students in learning and promote a positive classroom culture.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to student documentation.
• Be available for other duties as directed by school leadership.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• Help foster a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
