Pharmacist

Job Description

As a vital member of our pharmacy team, the Pharmacist will ensure the safe and effective use of medication. You will engage directly with patients, provide medication therapy management, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans. Passion for community health is key.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients about medications, side effects, and dosage.
• Manage the pharmacy's day-to-day operations effectively.
• Review and assess patients' medication histories for potential interactions.
• Support community health initiatives and patient outreach.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with insurance companies for medication reimbursements.
• Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and interns.
• Participate in pharmacy committees as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Bilingual skills in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
