Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our construction site in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will ensure project completion on schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction effort on-site and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Implement risk management practices to reduce inefficiencies.
• Facilitate communication between various teams on-site.
• Ensure compliance with environmental guidelines.
• Prepare and manage budget and resources allocated to the site.
• Employ problem-solving skills to resolve site challenges quickly.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and safety awareness among site staff.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to inform future projects.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering
• Degree in Construction Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in site management roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Cost Management

Soft Skills

• Team Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Fire Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Green Building Standards: Understanding of green building principles and practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills: Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
