Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Counter Cutter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring and cutting materials to meet customer specifications. This is a full-time position based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure materials using appropriate tools.
• Cut materials using precision cutting machines.
• Ensure that all materials meet quality standards before use.
• Regularly inspect equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members on production schedules.
• Report any issues with materials or equipment to management.
• Participate in safety training and follow best practices.
• Document processing times and material usage.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Counter Cutter in textiles or a production environment.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in machine operation: Preferable certification for operating cutting machines.
• Experience in a production environment: Hands-on experience in a similar production role.
